Longest Push-Up Chain Record
Most push-up records focus on how many you can complete in a certain time, but one unique push-up record measures teamwork: the longest push-up chain.
In this challenge, participants line up in a long row, each person placing their feet on the shoulders of the person behind them. As they perform push-ups in unison, the chain moves together.
The current Guinness World Record for the most people performing a chain push-up is 138, achieved by the Single Marine Program Camp Lejeune (USA) in Jacksonville, North Carolina, on September 18, 2013.
An attempt to break this record took place on November 15, 2025 at Bishop Shanahan High School in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. The event invited participants to form a chain of more than 150 people, not only to beat the standing record but also to raise funds for veterans in need. It’s unclear whether the record was successfully broken.
