Push-Ups in 12 Hours

The most push ups completed in 12 hours is 20,085, achieved by Australian Jarrad Young, in Queensland, Australia, on 2 October 2021. He previously held the 1 hour record.

The previous record of he most push ups completed in 12 hours was 19,325 by Paddy Doyle (UK) at the Holiday Inn Hotel, Birmingham, UK, achieved on 1 May 1989.

Correct Technique

The assessors at the Guinness World Record requires that record setters perform the push-up with a specific technique, which is essentially what we describe as a standard push-up. Participants must keep the body straight throughout (i.e. no bending at the knees or waist), and the body must be lowered until at least a 90-degree angle is attained at the elbows. The body is then raised until the arms are straight, although the elbows do not need to be locked.
