Starting Position

Begin in a standard push-up position, supporting your weight on your fingertips and toes. Keep your hands shoulder-width apart and your body straight from head to heels. Engage your core to maintain stability and prevent sagging through the hips.

Movement

Slowly lower your chest toward the floor by bending your elbows until they reach about a right angle. Keep your fingertips firmly pressed into the ground for balance. Push back up through your fingers until your arms are fully extended, returning to the starting position.

The Workout

Repeat this action as many times as required. See Push-Up Workouts for example training programs.
